GLC appears on CBC’s “Switchback”

CBC variety television show “Switchback” hosted by comedian Eric Tunney filmed and interviewed the Get Loose Crew on location for an episode featuring the group.

Tunney and crew from the show filmed on the second floor community room at the Flemingdon Park Resource Centre. The group performed their records title track “Get Loose Crew” with local youth in attendance watching the event. They were interviewed by Tunney during which they discussed the emerging music trend – rap, as well as clothing and apparel that serve to distinguish and are a essential component of the  genre. The group discussed and commented on the emerging music genre sweeping the nation while featuring their British Knights apparel.

The episode aired in the late spring of 1988 with a guest host appearance of Chris Shepperd; one of the leading figures in the Canadian dance music scene in the 1980s and 1990s, he was active as a club and radio DJ on CFNY 102 FM.
